I just have to share the great deals I recently found at the thrift store. Clockwise from the top: 5 yds of blue, green and white plaid wool for $3.20. A classic retro pattern/color combo. I think it will make a nice suit. Next, 2.25 yards each of two coordinating linens for $1.60 each. The price tags say more, but I always shop with a 20%-off coupon.
I’m thinking of making this vintage pattern that I got for 25¢. (No, I’m not that skinny, but I hope the flared jacket will disguise that fact.)
And finally, 6 yds of a pretty green silky fabric for $9. Not sure what I’ll make with that but it was too pretty to pass up. I have some sheer fabric with an abstract pattern that I bought some time ago. I think will match this green quite nicely.
Anyway, the total is 15.5 yards of fabric for $15.20. That averages out to less than $1/yd. How cool is that?
Nice pattern and good buys…the model on the pattern looks like Nancy Drew from my old mystery books!
