
It’s been a good year
You’ve had a wonderful year (at least I hope you have!), so why not share your success with friends and family? There are lots of great reasons to share the bounty of this year:

- You may inspire others: when they see the wonderful things that come from sustainable, self-reliant living, they may want to try it.

- Mix in a Jar—combine dried fruits and vegetables from your storage with recipes for bars, cookies, soups or casseroles. Layer the ingredients in a jar, attach a tag with directions and put a pretty ribbon on top.
- Bean Dinner in a Jar—Introduce family and friends to the wonderful meals made with dried beans.
- Crochet or knit something—scarves, hot pads and washclothes are all quick and easy projects. Here are lots of free patterns for crocheting and knitting.
- Canned goods—pickles, relishes, jams and jellies all make perfect Christmas gifts. Add a loaf of homemade bread and you have a winner.
